DJ Spank Master Boogie has traveled extensively throughout the United States, Canada & Mexico. This self-produced DJ enjoys performing in front of live audiences with his catchy wordplay and profound lyrics. In 1996, he won the University of Minnesota’s Hip Hop Olympics MC Battle. His claim to fame was his 1st release entitled “Whom Shall I Fear” in 1998 which ranked him among some of the best lyricists from his hometown and abroad.

DJ Spank Master Boogie, also known as Hip Hop Maniac has performed at Ivy League schools as well as numerous bars, clubs, small and large venues. While attending Central State University, he earned his name/moniker from a friend and a position as a college radio DJ. Although he had a short-lived career on the radio, his love for old-school funk, R& B, Rock, and Jazz can be heard in past projects like “Cotton Candy Glowsticks” and “Who is DJ Spank Master Boogie?”

“The person with the least amount of talent is always gonna have to work harder than the more talented artist”

SPANK MASTER BOOGIE

Spank Master Boogie spearheaded a mixtape movement among some of the world’s favorite DJs. He has collaborated with the likes of The Ohio Players, Indigenous Tribe, Eminem, Trenched, DJ B Sqrd, and Yo! Majesty. During his journey in music, SMB has caught the attention of the younger DJs such as DJ Kid Magic Rock out of Columbus Ohio, who has a great ear for mixing as well. The millennial DJs listened to how he spun his set and gave him the approval. This inspired S.M.B. to continue bringing more music out and enjoy life while traveling.

Recently, Spank Master Boogie’s released his latest 14-track compilation titled “Museum” showcases music as audible art. The album starts out with a song entitled Hashtag MC. The emcee raps about “Medicinal Music” and lines like that there is a haze of clouds shadowed down on the real emcees in this world. The project features producers such as; DJ Kid Magic Rock (UMC’s), MF Love, DJ J5, Ricardo Del Rio and Tonic Man (Richbumz). Also, it features the multi-talented L.A. painter/producer, Lisa Amaro, who contributed to the Gray Skies song on a rainy day in South Beach Miami.

“When delivering content to real hip hop heads, it’s difficult because there is so much commercialized materialistic following in hip-hop, says Spank Master. It’s hard to separate great emcees from pop stars, sometimes the message of being positive gets lost in the bright glittery lights of wanting to be famous.”

Spank Master Boogie is a seasoned hip-hop emcee who focuses on lyricism at the highest level while delivering psychedelic vocabulary and witty punchlines. He is definitely highlighting hip-hop – the way we remember.

[NEW MUSIC] J-MANE – “PROOF” FT J-HOOD | @JMane_HT

Hip-Hop Artist, J-Mane overcomes the                           adversities of “The Struggle”

J-Mane has seen many struggles throughout his life and desires change.
Phillip Jermane Allen – also known as J-Mane, is an up and coming hip-hop artist out the underbelly of small rural West Virginia. Allen was born February 4th, 1988 in White Sulphur Spring to parents, Penny Allen and Jay Jones.

The term “music is the entry to the soul” sits with the young J-Mane. It wasn’t always his passion to still make music. When he was younger, he had another passion that he wanted to carry him to the road of success, football. He had dreams of making it pro and coming out of the struggle. The struggles became more of a reality when he got older.

In 2007, Allen’s world changed completely. His mother, Penny Allen, got sick and lost her fight. Young Allen is merely just coming out of high school at the age of 18, and he didn’t know what to think. Sadness, anger, many emotions were running through his head. During his emotional rollercoaster, he gained a DUI charge, and this was when his mindset changed his whole perspective. Phillip turned to football and envisioned success as his way to make his momma proud. In 2015, his dreams fulfilled when he went to the west coast and signed with an AFL (Arena Football League) team. Shortly after signing with the team- his nightmare began. The interim coach lost his position, and his contract voided. Back on the struggle, J-Mane tried to think of ways to cope. Music became the answer. He was able to speak his story and help inspire others. His path appears to be finally set.

J-MANE

What’s next for J-Mane?

J-Mane, with inspirations from the death of his mother, family, friends, and the overall struggle of life, began his journey into the hip-hop scene. His story speaks for itself with hard times, conflict and poverty. His vision is evident. He aims to reach new heights and change the world with his music. His most recent single, “Proof,” featuring ex D-Block member J-Hood is the prime example of struggle in his life. The record speaks on his story of hardships.

The truth that J-Mane speaks is something that everyone can identify. J-Mane is here to stay and is the next face of the hip-hop community.

[NEW MUSIC] Da Gh0ul – “Where I Be” |@IAMDAGH0UL

The Hip-Hop Monster, Da Gh0ul releases his debut single, “Where I Be”

Hip-hop has awoken a monster with a signature sound called ‘Enlightened Trap.’ The on-the-verge rapper, Da GhOul, has taken up the challenge in bringing light to this new genre with his new trap anthem “Where I Be.”

Da Gh0ul is a highly creative artist -who had always had a knack for music. Since the age of 8, Ghoul started writing raps. On “Where I Be,” Da Gh0ul uses a high powered, uptempo piano key beat mixed with a soft “X-Files” type melody to give a warning to haters, the feds, and anybody else who can’t see him. The song details his drive, grind, and hustle for achieving greatness amidst the ops; who may not know his acts or “whereabouts” (thus the title). But. he is at a greater place far from those, who are not about their business and the positive growth of “Self.”

Da Gh0ul realized at the early age of 8; he had a liking for creating music. Him and his younger sister Patricia Berry, a.k.a. Phoenyxx Flame began recording over instrumentals using a PS2 and a broken stereo with a working mic onto tapes. At the age of 13, Da Gh0ul started working with his beats at Fl Studio and found out rhythms drove him more to music. In 2007, the teenage rapper “Decata Boi” started working with an underground artist “Angry Dank” who taught him a few basics about recording. Relying on other artists/producers for studio time and promotion wasn’t entirely advancing his music career. With in-depth consideration, at the age 16, he invested into creating his recording studio.

He ‘s a contender that has next

In 2012, Da Ghoul released his first ever mixtape “The Juggernaut” on DatPiff.com with the help of a SCAD student and their Mac. Shortly after, he released his second mixtape,  #UA which was heavily promoted on Instagram. Also, he has collaborated with idols such as DJ Smalls, DJ Fresh (Rich Homie Quan DJ), and ” OJ Da Juiceman.”

Over time, Da Gh0ul has improved his sound and overall characteristics of one of the most unique/international hip-hop artist that the industry has seen in a while. His slick punchlines and lyrical flexibility mixed with a melodic Crunk tune are just a few words to describe the upcoming Dirty South rap artist. Ghoul is a force to be reckoned with! and Keep your eyes on this artist as a contender in the Hip-hop game.

[MUSIC] YOUNG SAINT NICK – “GOLD”| @YOUNGSAINTNICK

International Recording Artist, Young Saint Nick teams up with Canadian producer Victor Ardene on latest single, “Gold”

Young Saint Nick was born in Newmarket and raised in the studio. At the age of 16, YSN penned some lyrics and gave his best shot on the mic. It was a hobby until he met his partner in crime, Victor Ardene. The young producer’s interest piqued at the age of 15 and Victor decided to attend college, where he was in the top rankings of his whole class. The partnership was a God-send because Young Saint Nick lacked the knowledge and skills needed for his newly released project. At that moment, they re-recorded/re-mastered every track on the mixtape “Raised in the Studio.”

The self-titled song appeared on the mixtape, which debuted on YSN’s Soundcloud and Youtube accounts. “Raised in the Studio” – a creative metaphorical semi-fictional story about Young Saint Nick’s upbringing in the studio- was created during the compilation process of the project. During this time, the dynamic duo pumped out original music that was getting good responses. After their first song, “Moving On,” they dropped it on an eight-track album across 150 music platforms.

At that time, YSN proved that he is a contender in this game. He started developing his musical technique quickly which could be heard in his delivery. In his own right, he was beginning to surpass some of his idols like Eminem and Nonstop mainly because he studied their lyrical punchlines and dance styles. With his natural touch and work ethic, YSN has been told by fans that they would rather watch him than Nonstop.

Young Saint Nick worked hard to get to where he is, and it’s safe to say he’s on his way to reaching much-aspired fame. Only time will tell where his extraordinary work ethic will take him. Connect with Young Saint Nick to watch his journey.

[MUSIC] Nyasia Chanel – “Do it Like That” Remix Ft Jay Bankz |@Nyasia_Chanel_

Nyasia Chanel and Dancehall artist, Jay Bankz  remixed her latest single, “Do it Like That”

On a balmy summer night surrounded by family, young R&B songstress Nyasia Chane’l excitedly listened as her song played. That Sunday night on July 29, 2018, DJ Norie of Power 105.1 FM debuted the remix to her single “Do It Like That” featuring Dancehall artiste Jay Bankz.

Nyasia Chane’l grew up in the small town of Fallsburg in the Catskills region of Upstate New York. Known then as Nyasia Harris, she began to express herself creatively at an early age. “I’ve been singing since I was four years old. Music has been my passion and my creative expression all my life.” She says. Through the years she was always singing, dazzling both parishioners in the pews at church and her classmates in the halls of her high school.

It was always evident that Nyasia had raw talent, so at the age of 20, she began exploring her music more seriously. Nyasia recorded a demo, and after hearing her voice through the microphone, she knew that this was something she could enjoy doing professionally. With the encouragement of her friends and family, Nyasia began to write her songs and record them. She started to create her sound based on the R&B and Soul singers she grew up listening to.

Her music began to spark local interest and she was invited to perform at various venues across the tristate, including playing with the legendary Blues performer, Grand Slam Allen, at the Resorts Worlds Catskills Casino, and as an opening act for award-winning R&B crooner August Alsina at the Chance Theater located in Poughkeepsie, New York.

Initially released in January of 2018, “Do it Like That” was written by Nyasia Chanel and produced by Vic On The Beat. It’s well received by both industry insiders and the public alike.  “Do it like that” began to garner moderate success, receiving airplay on local and internet radio stations across the country. Audiences enjoyed the track during her live performances. Nyasia felt that the Caribbean vibe of the song needed to be refreshed, enter Jay Bankz, who contributes an authentic “dancehall deejay” element which perfectly complimented the sultry vocals on the record.

Jay Bankz is an up and coming independent artist, hailing from Jamaica and currently resides in the United States. Jay Bankz latest single “Success” is making its way up the independent Dancehall charts in Jamaica and is one of the most sought-after rookies in the game.

[MUSIC] @IAMREELSMOOVV – “Groovy in a Hooptie”

Minneapolis Hip-Hop Artist, REEL Smoovv teams up with the crooner, Traiveon Dunlap on debut single, “Groovy in a Hooptie”

When you’re a rebellious, educated and enlightened liberator, the world is at your mercy. This saying holds true for Minnesota rap artist, REEL Smoovv, born as Johnny Watkins.

In Minneapolis, there’s a unique brew of artists including the late Prince, The Time, and The Soul Asylum; among others. As an artist, Smoovv has a rich history to look upon and encapsulate everything great about the Minneapolis Sound. As a child, listening to R&B legends like The Temptations, Sam Cooke, and Frankie Lymon gave him an insight of great music.

“As I got older and involved in Hip-hop, I grew fond of artists like Nelly, DMX & Outkast. Outside of hip-hop, it was Bob Marley, Peter Tosh & Erykah Badu.”

In 2013, REEL Smoovv’s hip-hop career began with a rap collective called “Flood The Basement” and featured on their “Whatchu Want” project. Later that year, he released two solo projects entitled “The REEL Revolution” and “REEL Smoovv’s Summer Jams.” Shortly after “Flood The Basement” disbanded in 2014, REEL Smoovv joined the Mill City Collective & released his third solo project entitled, “REEL Smoovv’s 31st Groovvs.” This album helped identify him as a real artist with crafty metaphoric content. In 2015, the “Deeply Rooted Tribe” was formed along with two other Mill City Collective artists (FreshVs Sellers & RAW Toon). The group delivered the compilation project, “Low Eye Rise” which featured the lead single, “Tribe Supply.” Since that release, REEL Smoovv has been working on a new project with the Tribe; as well as his solo project.

“Hip Hop has the most prominent platform out of all music genres & not enough people use it to promote positivity or even realize the power they have as an artist to shift the dynamic of things.”

As an artist with direction, Smoovv has opened up for mainstream artists like The Migos, Curren$y, Bone Thugs and Harmony, Nappy Roots, 50 Cent, Naughty By Nature, The Game and Krayzie Bone; just to name a few. REEL Smoovv possesses characteristics of a self-effacing, reserved, laid back individual with an associates degree. But, with a microphone in hand, he takes on the stage with lyrical content and commands the attention of those in his presence. His latest single “Groovy In A Hooptie,” proves that he is a contender in the hip-hop world.

All in all, REEL Smoovv is ready to deliver his message and help change people lives. Let the revolution begin!
