Newark Rapper, Nate The Great releases his debut single “Killa Shyt” from his forthcoming album

 

When life’s adversities strike, you must prevail. Up-and-coming rapper,  Nate The Great hails from Newark, New Jersey and has a story to tell. Amongst his peers, he is also known as“Nate One Sixteen” and started making music as an outlet to cope with his mother’s death. At the age of twelve, he related to the emptiness of an instrumental, how it could be formed the way the artist wants it to be embodying creativity and difference.
While feeling a sense of emptiness, Nate chose the wrong way of life, and he needed an outlet to release the inner aggression. He has lived through many tense times in his life, so he turned to a USB microphone and a netbook in his bedroom. That is where the magic began, Nate The Great raps primarily about his own life experiences, and is not afraid to reveal himself on a track.
Recently, NTG found a group of like-minded individuals that accepted him and his talent. One word to describe Nate is “Claimant.” Even though he continues to chase his dreams, he refuses to let anything stand in his path of greatness.  Working with artists like Fat L’zz, helps keeps his musician endeavors fresh. Nate The Great is a genius when it comes to writing his thoughts out and getting the studio producers to do wonders.

On the forthcoming EP, ‘The Big Nate,” “Killa Shyt” is the first single of many other songs, just in time for the summer. NTG began searching the worldwide for a beat and found a ‘Lil Pump’ type instrumental by the beat producer, Nevermore. The project is inspired by music that makes you feel something, whether its hate, love or even sadness.
By mastering the creation of his songs, Nate The Great is confident that the milestone that he has to walk; making his future even brighter. His lyrics and voice are sensations many people can relate to.
Although NTG is an unsigned artist, you can expect to see more of this artist shortly.

Born and raised in Mobile Alabama, Felecia Nichole Tunstall musically known as T Barz realized her gift of writing in 2009 when she started writing poems which turned into spoken word that she performed at local functions. Within the past five years, Barz has gotten more in tune with turning her spoken words into musical pieces. She is overall multi-talented with paid skills in acting and dancing with styles in Hip Hop and Lyrical.

T Barz is a triple threat with a strong work ethic. Her lyrics speak on her life experiences in music, hip-hop, love, personal struggles, and victories. Her message is both powerful and confident. From the “Spiritual Ammo” double CD, the debut single ” Seeds in the Field” is making a heartfelt statement on the world wide web. Deacon Don DyDy recorded “Seeds in the Field” with his son before the tragedy. The video is based on a true story and depicts repeatable life occurrences in every sector of the world.

This story is a beacon to lure the families of the hip-hop generation toward a more spiritual message. Cameo appearances include Minister Deborah Simpkins, Reverend Al Sharpton (NAN Network) Treach (Naughty by Nature), Vinnie (Naughty by Nature) and the Jaguars, The football team of East Orange Campus High School.

Minneapolis Hip-Hop Artist, REEL Smoovv teams up with the crooner, Traiveon Dunlap on debut single, “Groovy in a Hooptie”

  When you’re a rebellious, educated and enlightened liberator, the world is at your mercy. This saying holds true for Minnesota rap artist, REEL Smoovv, born as Johnny Watkins.

 

In Minneapolis, there’s a unique brew of artists including the late Prince, The Time, and The Soul Asylum; among others. As an artist, Smoovv has a rich history to look upon and encapsulate everything great about the Minneapolis Sound. As a child, listening to R&B legends like The Temptations, Sam Cooke, and Frankie Lymon gave him an insight of great music.


“As I got older and involved in Hip-hop, I grew fond of artists like Nelly, DMX & Outkast. Outside of hip-hop, it was Bob Marley, Peter Tosh & Erykah Badu.”

 

In 2013, REEL Smoovv’s hip-hop career began with a rap collective called “Flood The Basement” and featured on their “Whatchu Want” project. Later that year, he released two solo projects entitled “The REEL Revolution” and “REEL Smoovv’s Summer Jams.” Shortly after “Flood The Basement” disbanded in 2014, REEL Smoovv joined the Mill City Collective & released his third solo project entitled, “REEL Smoovv’s 31st Groovvs.” This album helped identify him as a real artist with crafty metaphoric content. In 2015, the “Deeply Rooted Tribe” was formed along with two other Mill City Collective artists (FreshVs Sellers & RAW Toon). The group delivered the compilation project, “Low Eye Rise” which featured the lead single, “Tribe Supply.” Since that release, REEL Smoovv has been working on a new project with the Tribe; as well as his solo project.

As an artist with direction, Smoovv has opened up for mainstream artists like The Migos, Curren$y, Bone Thugs and Harmony, Nappy Roots, 50 Cent, Naughty By Nature, The Game and Krayzie Bone; just to name a few. REEL Smoovv possesses characteristics of a self-effacing, reserved, laid back individual with an associates degree. But, with a microphone in hand, he takes on the stage with lyrical content and commands the attention of those in his presence. His latest single “Groovy In A Hooptie,” proves that he is a contender in the hip-hop world.
